I had my daughter at Stoke Mandeville on the 17th Feb 2015. I was induced on the 15th due to high BP and ended up staying in hospital for a week as there were signs of a chest infection once my baby was born and she needed a course of antibiotics. I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful staff at Stoke - both on the labour ward and the ante and post natal care. I was so nervous about being induced and labour in general and i had the most fantastic experience. I did end up with forceps and an episiotomy, but thanks to the wonderful after care I had virtually no pain - was up and showered within 3 hours of giving birth and had no pain from then on thanks to the rigorous pain relief schedule I was on. The midwives were sainted - particularly the ones who looked after me all night while I was in labour! .. And the doctors were both incredible. My sister had a baby at Watford a fortnight before my daughter was born and when she visited me at Stoke said she would 100% choose to have her next child there. I had such a great experience I want to do it all again - asap !!
"A wonderful birth experience thanks to the amazing..."
