"Ward 5"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary

I was taken to ward 5 for a procedure ti insert a stent in my blocked bile duct. The doctor came to see me to explain the procedure. This sounded very daunting and as much as I was kindly reassured by the staff I felt I needed to go home and think about it. Everyone was so kind and caring and I was told if I decided to go ahead all I had to do was call the following day and I would be rescheduled. This I did and went for the procedure the following day. The doctor and their team and all the nurses were fantastic. I felt completely at ease and put all my trust in the doctor. The procedure went well thanks to their skill, and can't thank them, and the nurses enough for their care and attention. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks.Susan Podolak.

This sounds to have been a daunting procedure and I am pleased it went smoothly for you. I will make sure that your comments are passed on to the staff, they will appreciate that you have taken the time to post your thoughts. Thank you.
