For the past 9 weeks my wife has been in the hands of Inzievar Medical Practice and NHS Fife and at this moment in time she is no further forward in either a constructive diagnosis of her condition or someone to take responsibility for further tests.
Everyone involved seem to be quite happy to shrug their shoulders and send her away saying "if things don't get any better come back".
The lack of concern culminated on Friday when she tried to get an appointment but was told none were available. However, she was told the doctor would call her and during this conversation the doctor advised her that a home visit would not go ahead and if things did not improve to call the out of hours line.
My wife had to call the out of hours line on Saturday morning and received a call back some 4 hours later to be advised that an appointment had been arranged at Dunfermline for 17. 30. During this visit abnormalities were found in her urine sample regarding her liver (she has been telling them from day one that she thought it was a liver problem) and the doctor who examined her recommended a full abdominal scan.
The worry we have is that this route will not be taken and she will be left to endure the pain and suffering that all who have been involved in her treatment seem to be oblivious to thus far.
"Concerned about my wife's care so far"
