I went to see my GP at the end of March 2015 and she wanted me to be seen in hospital. She telephoned The Victoria and an ambulance was dispatched.
The Paramedics were cheerful and took good care of me. On arriving at Ward 21 I was shown to a comfortable room where I was met by a welcoming caring nurse who looked after me throughout, she did introduce herself but in my confusion I did not pick up her name but she will remember me as we were both born in the same Edinburgh Hospital!
I would like to commend and thank everyone including my Always busy GP and the equally busy Consultant. My care in a clean caring environment was excellent.
I recently read an article about a patient in America who's problem and care was much the same as mine only on discharge he was handed an account for $12,000!
Thank you NHS and thank you Victoria Hospital.
