My friend was taken in to ward 8 as she was coughing and being sick and couldn't breath. As she was checked over a doctor found a mass so she was taken down for an mri scan and an endoscopy. I was there when the doctor came round and told her she has cysts on her liver and that they need to send round a liver expert to find out if they are draining them or surgery. This was a Sunday morning. I revisited her on Wednesday and asked what they doing, she said they were going to send me home because I can keep liquid down. I said unless you can live on a liquid diet you can't come home, then a nurse came round on change over and said this is..... and said my friends's name she has got a hernia??????? I said what no she hasn't. That's what was on her records. Then there was quite a discussion, and I asked to see a doctor. I was told I could see a junior doctor and they would send one over. The junior doctor never came. I asked several times who I could see about her as she is very I'll and has not eaten since Sunday because she can't hold it down, and no, there was not even a drip!!! And the night before they forgot to even bring her a dinner plus she has a nut allergy which was on her notes but still bought stuff that contained nuts. All of the nurses knew why she was in there, but the dangerous thing is not one of them had the same reason or what she was being treated for. I was so disgusted that in the 3 days she was no better. There was no improvement, and on top of that the buck kept getting passed as to who would know what was being done. If if you got to speak to someone they would speak and carry on walking embarrassed. The people in charge of all these illl people hadn't got a clue.
