"Maximum reached by 10:30 am"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I was referred to the Eye Clinic from a walk in clinic with a suspected scratch on my cornea. I arrived at 10:30 and was given card 1 for the que. They took 5 people before me and then finally saw me at 12:00, only to inform me they reached their daily cap of people they could see. They told me that I should go to Moorfields, becuase it did seem serious. It's absolutely appalling that you can arrive at 10:30 and can't be seen when they don't close until 15:00. So dissapointed in the service I received. I'm not sure why at 10:30 the man didn't inform me of this.

Thanks for your comment. I’m very sorry you have had this experience in our Eye Clinic. It’s important to us that our patients are kept informed and communicated with when there is higher demand. Please contact me via our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk, so this can be investigated. Yours sincerely Nadeem Moghal Medical Director
