I called 111 in February due to severe pain, after taking all my details I was told a doctor would come to see me at home. The doctor duly arrived and examined me, he felt the best course of action would be for me to be taken to the Hillingdon Hospital, and we called 999 for an ambulance which then took me to the hospital.
At the hospital I was seen fairly quickly by the nurses and doctors and was diagnosed with a hernia. The hospital were unable to treat the hernia immediately and I was referred to my GP. I have since been referred by my GP to the specialists at the hospital and am now waiting for an operation to fix the hernia.
Since the initial call to 111 I have needed to call them a couple of times, each time it was due to the pain caused by the hernia.
I have received a very good service from both the 111 and the Hillingdon Hospital each time I have needed their help.
"I have received a very good service"
