Having literally just returned home following my Bronchoscopy at KGH, I feel compelled to leave a review for others like me that may be apprehensive about it. Firstly, every single member of staff from reception right through to the nursing team and Doctors were exceptionally helpful, polite and seemed to genuinely care and enjoy their roles. Special mention for the person who seemed to be well in charge of things and was supported very well by their team, always offering to help one another. They listened to my concerns about having the cannula put in my arm (I cringe not only at the point of insertion, but the whole time it's in!) - so they said we could put it in just before the procedure, which I really appreciated. Onto the procedure itself which, I have to say, is not pleasant! However, the team were outstanding at reassuring me and talking to me the whole way through. It was all over pretty quickly and I had my coffee and toast within 30mins (important to a caffeine fiend like me!). The best way to round off I suppose would be to say that whilst i wouldn't be keen to have this procedure again, if it was at KGH again I would feel relaxed going back. Thanks people - true professionals ;)
