"A & E"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Having suffered what i though was a serious problem visited A&E on Thursday19 March. I arrived at 10.50 am, was then seen by the Triage Nurse about 11.15 am. The unit was fairly busy so did not expect to be seen quickly. 12.30 pm was called in to the Minor injuries dept and seen by another nurse who examined my shoulder and then sent me for an X-ray. The X-ray was dealt with and i then returned to the Minor injuries dept. I was again seen by the same nurse and informed of the problem then given some instructions regarding exercises and medication. All in all, 3 1/2 hours was very good. With the current trend to criticize A&E units I felt this unit was very good.
