My 8 year old daughter had minor surgery today. She stayed on ward G2 and had the surgery in the DTC. Although the the surgery was minor it was a big thing for her as she has never had surgery before. The time taken to ensure that children have a positive experience was wonderful and it certainly meant that we had the best experience possible. The care was very good and the nursing staff supported us all very well. My daughters consultant surgeon was very good. They took the time to ensure that we knew exactly what would happen and explained things after the procedure. The same with the anaesthetic team. Thankyou for the great care. Although our daughter was scared and emotional in the anaesthetic Room she has since said that she would not be scared next time as she was well looked after.
"Thankyou"
