My Mother who lives in Moreton in Marsh has dementia and subsequently has an infection which had left her more confused than normal. I called 999 and was put through to a lovely nurse who calmed me and talked me through dealing with the situation two paramedics arrive very soon after - Angela and Dave who were wonderful.
The following day I had to phone again as Mum had fallen and I could not move her. Gary arrived in a car like a knight in shinning armour and promptly set about getting her up and comfortable. She had to be admitted to hospital so then three more paramedics arrived in a van and Gary managed to get her into Cheltenham - even though ambulances are not accepted after 8pm, which would have meant going to Gloucester Royal which is so much further away. By this time it was 22: 15!
All in all the service, care that my Mother has been given is second to non - Well done to All especially South Western Ambulance Service.
