"rude person in shop. car park story"

About: Colchester General Hospital

My wife and I had to take my 5 year old granddaughter to A &E for head wound. We arrived at 2.20pm and were seen promptly by a Doctor and our granddaughter was repaired cleaned up and given thorough examination by the Doctor. Great. I then took my granddaughter back to the car in the car park, while my wife paid at the machine. The machine had a notice , saying no notes, out of order. As we only had notes on us, my wife went to the shop for change. The person working in the shop was rude and would not change the £5 note, so my wife said she would by something, but was told she could only buy something over a pound. As the car park fee was now £4 this was no help at all. I was ready and angry enough to block the car park until something was done. as it was a good Samaritan helped, with change. restoring my faith in human nature.

I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “Comment on League of Friends 17/03/2015 19:11:46 ”, please?
