Following on from my previous story, five days after the birth of my daughter I was transferred to Peterhead Maternity where I went, primarily to get further support with breastfeeding.
I had been well looked after at Peterhead throughout my pregnancy and knew most of the midwives and support staff. The team at Peterhead are amazing. The hospital is clean with spacious rooms and exceptional hospital food. It felt very much like being in a very good hotel.
It is a deeply personal service, with great empathy and care. They helped me to find ways to continue breastfeeding and supported me even after I had left the hospital until I was well established. I cannot fault their care, they were utterly amazing and exactly what I needed after the traumatic time in Aberdeen.
I cannot thank them enough for helping us, as a family to recover.
"Amazing team at Peterhead"
