After suffering a stroke at work I was taken to walsgrave on the 20 Nov, although I live in leicestershire, admission and treatment was conducted as soon as I arrived, in a good orderly manner and later in the day taken to ward 42, and remained there for nearly 4 weeks recovering, this was my first time into any hospital, the service from the staff was excellent, they were polite, helpful and jovial they also respected my privacy when required to do so they kept me inform of any test or treatment that i required, with many visit from both normal staff and trainees/students I felt that i could not of had better treatment anywhere else, even the hospital food was of good quality I would have no problem recommending or returning to this hospital should I need to,and wish to thank all the staff involved in my treatment and recovery. The only slight problem was the inability for the NHS system to automatically present my documentation/ condition details across the Warwickshire - Leicester shire border on discharge as my GP is Leicester shire But that is a system fault not a staff issue MZH
