"Excellent from a&e right through to the..."

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I broke my thumb a few weeks ago. I didnt really want to attend A&E because I thought I would be waiting for hours. I left it a few days but it was clear I needed to go. The staff in A&E were all fantastic, friendly and helpful. I was in and out very quickly. I was referred to the fracture clinic which again was very efficient and ran on time. I had to attend a further occasion and finally was told my thumb needed operating on. This was arrenged efficiently and speediliy. Upon my visit to ADSU the ward was very clean and all staff I came into contact with were efficient, friendly and respectful. My follow up with the Physio therapy dept were again excempliary. And the staff again were a credit to the RBH. Beleive me I am very critical when I need to be but this experience needs to highlighted as most people only critisise and are shy to praise.I feel that a good pat on the back is necessary. NHS staff have a lot to contend with with ever decreasing budgets and increased demands. Thank You

Thank you so much for your positive review. Our staff work very hard to ensure that patients get the best possible care so it is nice to receive such feedback. The matrons for the areas will feedback your comments to the teams involved - they will be delighted that they succeeded in providing such a positive patient experience. Thank you again and we do hope your thumb is recovering well.
