"My appointment in audiology"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

I attended the audiology unit at the Royal Hospital following a GP referal. I found the staff extremely helpful. There was a possibility of a diagnosis of Menieres Disease, the audiologist took a great deal of care to explain how the ear works and gave me some excercises to help with the dizziness I had been experiencing, and also suggested I had two hearing aids which were different from the one I had been using. I found both the exercises and the hearing aids very helpful.

Thank you for taking time to share your experience in Audiology. I am pleased to see that things were clearly explained to you and that the exercises and different hearing aids have made a difference. I am sure the team will be delighted to read your comments. Best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
