"rude nurses, chaotic A&E building was old and..."

About: Epsom Hospital

i was admitted via A&E with a mini stroke in sept 2014. What a traumatic experience! I had a cannula fitted in my arm which was not done properly and it kept slipping out and bleeding. I woke up on a ward with the bed soaked in my own blood. I rang the buzzer for the nurse and asked for a clean gown.at 1am.The nurse came after 20 mins and glared at me mumbling that as I had pulled out the canula I would have to remain in the blood stained gown and sheets until the day staff came on duty at 7am. I told them that it had worked lose whilst I was sleeping. The nurse eventually brought me a clean gown and threw it at me and skulked off I had to ring the buzzer again to ask for help getting changed as I had a stroke and couldn't use my right arm. This nurse was extremely aggressive and scowled at me instead of helping me to get changed. When they saw that I could not do it myself they grabbed my affected arm and pulled it above my head causing me a great deal of pain. I asked the nurse why they were being so aggressive and hostile they said if I wanted a servant I should have private health insurance, and that the nhs was there for emergencies and not to help me get changed when I have made a mess of the bed myself. They were so angry that I was too afraid of them to go back to sleep. This is totally unacceptable I have paid national insurance all of my working life and this ignorant person should not treat me or anyone else like this.
