"Bad from start to finish"

About: Essex County Hospital

Sept 2014 was referred to the clinic by G.P December I had to phone and ask why I hadn't heard from them was told I wasn't on a waiting list. Had the mole removed early January. my Doctor still hasn't had results now into March and after many inquiries, I've received a follow up appiontment,It's been impossible to actually speak to anyone, although after the patient PALS made inquires for me I was phoned and told the mole was not cancerious,. Six months so far to get a diagnosis.thankfully it wasn't a serious problem. A simple phone call to let me know the outcome would have saved me and your department a lot of hassle. I apologise you’ve not had a good patient experience. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We would like the opportunity to discuss your experiences more fully and to apologise in person. If you are willing I would appreciate it if I could ask the matron to contact you. Could you email me, using the reference “Comment on Dermatology at 13/03/2015 11:37:47”, please? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
