"My aunt enjoyable stay at Bernash"

When my aunt decided she wanted to move to Bernash I must admit I had reservations....but on meeting the staff and looking around I found it very comforting to know that my aunt was more than happy to stay. She intially stayed a month...and never went back to her flat. She loves it there...the food is great, the carers there are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Since being taken over I have felt that although my aunt is still very happy there, they have brought in people who have dementia...I have always felt strongly that this was wrong...it has always been a residential home for the elderly to live their lives out comfortably and without fear. Dementia patients through no fault of their own can be very hard to look after...they obviously dont realise how strong and difficult they can be and some of the residents are obviously a bit wary of them. Having said all that the ladies who care for them do an amazing job and I still feel its a great place.
