"Treated by staff in diabetic podiatry"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

I attended for an appointment in diabetic podiatry on a Saturday at Rake Lane and was treated by a lovely podiatrist who's name I cannot recall. This podiatrist was not only friendly and professional they were also so gentle that I did not feel any discomfort with the treatment yet left completely pain free and walking on air. They also explained to me about my diabetic complications and for the first time I really understood all the jargon and am now motivated to look after my feet. I spoke to the receptionist on the way out and I said I hope I could see this podiatrist every time that I came for an appointment but unfortunately it cannot be guaranteed. This was one of the loveliest people I have met and a credit to your hospital. I hope you will pass the message on.

Dear Sir / madam, I will most certainly pass it on - it is such a lovely story of our care and all the important things that matter which we hope our staff will focus on. I love your description of 'walking on air ' after your appointment. If you wanted to get in touch with me at annie.laverty@nhct.nhs.uk to share your name and details I would be in a position to find out who it was that you saw that day and thank them directly. It sounds like their professional approach and kind behaviours made all the difference for you. Take good care of yourself and many thanks once again, Annie
