"I can’t thank her enough for the help she has given"

I have just finished a 6 week course with Rachael, I can’t thank her enough for the help she has given.

I have been suffering from anxiety for several years but this was not diagnosed as my doctors were treating me for high blood pressure and thought all the symptoms I experienced were due to this. I was on beta blockers, high blood pressure tablets and aspirin, felt dizzy and had such shaky legs I was scared to go out in case I fell. I just stayed in all the time and lost my confidence.

I was also referred to a cardiologist and neurologist who both thought I was suffering from anxiety, the neurologist recommended I was referred for counselling.

A new young doctor at the surgery referred me to 6 degrees, I have been going there for 6 weeks, and it has transformed my life. Rachael showed me techniques how to help me manage my psychological problems, bit by bit I have regained my confidence with her help. Rachael taught me to overcome my fears and by explaining my medication to me I now know that if I feel it does not agree with me I can go back to my doctor to try something else. I stopped taking all the medication and have just started to take something for my blood pressure after having a conversation with my doctor that I felt I was in control of.

I am back to my art classes and dancing and no longer have panic attacks. Thank you Rachael.
