Day patient ENT. Do not expect any communication with the surgeon/qualified information About the procedure ,before, or after op. Yo are on your own. I was discharged with out seeing anyone;without any pain killers or other . Fortunately my wife picked me up and we bought some paracetamol from a nearby chemist . The next day ,I was telephoned and instructed to collect medical supplies from the Charing Cross pharmacy.. .. The medicines were in the ward in riverside ward.. The one good experience was that there a very kind nurse gave me an idea, on how to use the bits and prices !the pharmacy had given me . Communication from the ward in riverside wing ,is only possible ,if someone lends you his phone. There are no patient phones there and ,on 4 March, no caring nursing .. To read that this place is a teaching hospital, beggars belief! I wish Channel 4 Dispatches Programme would do a programme on Riverside wing No ,reliable follow up expected by me ,postoperative. Whatever you do, avoid this ,'third world ' treatment . '. My advice, is this ,sell any possessions and go for ENT to a private practice.
