"Elective admissions ward,Winifred ward 2."

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

Was in Friday 6/3/15 for a hemorroidectomy. Ela staff brilliant ,theatre staff brilliant, recovery staff brilliant,Winifred ward 2 staff absolutely waste of space , one hand didn't no what other hand was doing.was told my wound would be checked never was. My bp was down so would think would check again before being discharged never did. Wasn't explained any aftercare of what I should or shouldn't be doing. Some of the staff were very rude. Wasn't even offered any food at teatime even though I had been fasting from midnight. ( I was taken to the Winifred ward at 4:50 tea trolley was on the ward)

We are grateful for your feedback. While it is pleasing to hear there are many staff doing a great job, it is concerning that your experience on Winifred 2 Ward is not what we would wish for our patients. I would like to discuss your concerns with you directly so that we can look into this fully for you. If you would like us to do so, please do contact me directly on 0115 9691169 ext. 70821 and I would be pleased to talk or arrange to meet in person to take this forward.

Victoria Loffreda, DDT Matron
