I became an inpatient this year on Ward 3 (Dept 48). From the minute I entered the hospital the care I received from all staff was above and beyond anything I could ever have hoped for. It was the first time I had been in hospital apart from having my daughter. The reason for my admission was for a major operation, total hysterectomy for a suspicious ovarian cyst, which caused me great concern. I can honestly say that from start to finish the way in which I was put at ease by the clinical staff was amazing. After the operation and entering Ward 3 the care I received from staff, from Surgical, Nursing, HCA's and Domestic Staff was wonderful. It was obvious that their only concern was for my welfare and to ensure that the best of care was given to me and the other patients on the ward. I will always remember my stay at The Christie and forever be thankful for help and care given to me. Thank you especially to the consultant and team. x
