"After a new aortic valve grumpy old man tries..."

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ

Having had my new Aortic Valve in September ( see previous review ) attention turned to my Lung Cancer. This entailed anew Team taking me over in December. After a full discussion with myself and my wife ( herself an invalid ) it was decided that the upper left lobe of my lung should be removed and a date of 30th December to eliminate the cancer. Having had all the excitement of The Cardiac Unit just 3 months earlier I felt that I knew all the staff who carried out the various testing, the reception and office staff and my continuous nursing staff by their first names which is a keynote of LH&CH....its friendliness. I spent New Years Eve in Cedar Ward and cannot speak too highly of their care and help which enabled me to have a speedy discharge within the week. So now I enter my Eightieth year breathing clearly, fit and able to run up stairs....and far less grumpy.......All due to the most wonderfully organised and run Hospital with the most efficient diligent and friendly staff at all levels and job for whom I cannot express sufficiently my praise and thanks.
