"Excellent care for my daughter"

About: The Whittington Hospital

My 3 year old daughter became sick with meningitis. We didn't realise what it was, we just thought it was bad flu. After being referred to the Whittington by our GP, my daughter rapidly became dangerously sick in the Children's A&E, was then transferred to HDU and then to a regular children's ward. Throughout her 5 days in hospital she received excellent care. The staff basically saved her life. They were very calm and efficient when things were going badly and it helped me to feel confident that things were going to be OK. They always communicated thoroughly with us, kept us updated and gave her wonderful care. She is now back to her old self and every time I pass the Whittington I feel so grateful for the high standard of care she received. Just want to say thank you to all the doctors and nurses who helped her.

We're very pleased to hear that your daughter is feeling better now and back to her old self. Your comments are very much appreciated and will be passed on to our colleagues in the paediatric team.
