"A&e without ultrasound"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

We attended because my pregnant wife was bleeding. After 4hours we were sent home. The only thing was done was a blood test which was useless. We were told to come the next day for an ultrasound to the early pregnancy department as they dont provide it at the a&e. We were very disapointed and left worried all night

Thank you for providing us with this feedback. I am sorry that you felt the Emergency Department were unable to respond to your concerns and that you have had such a worrying time. I will ensure that this posting is shared with the department so that they can understand how this has affected you both and look at what sort of support should be available for others in a similar situation. I hope that the Early Pregnancy Unit were able to provide you with the reassurance you sought.
