"T2 Wedge Fracture"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

I had a fall from 6ft. I just made it to A&E on the 25.11.2014 I was told to take pain killers and I would be ok in a week or so no Xray. So I went back to work and carried on though the pain. I went back to A&E on the 5.12.2014 and again i was told I have no fracture and again had No Xray so still carried on working. I went back to A&E on the 10.1.2015 this time to demand an Xray while waiting for the results I was examined and was told by the doctor he didn't think a had a fracture. Only to be told 5mins later by the same doctor that I had a T12 wedge fracture vertebrae. I was then told they would be keeping me in hospital. On the 11.1.2015 I was told by the doctor I could go home as my back was stable. On the 12.1.2015 my back collapsed and I fell and hurt my hand so on the 13.1.2015 I was back in A&E after an xray I was told I had fractured my hand in two places. I went to a specialist at the Fracture Clinic on the 27.1.2014 and was told I had to have an MRI scan on the 20.2.2014 I went back today 3.3.2014 for the results. I got very upset with the doctor who didn't read my notes and ask my what can he do for you. I explained that I have been off work with no pay and still experiencing a lot of pain and finding it hard to cope. His reply was what do you want me to do. Which I feel after all I've had to go though these past 3 months was very had to take and regrettable I lost my temper and was told to leave the hospital or they would get security to remove me. now he has referred me back to my doctor. It's not like me to act in the way I did but feel I wasn't given the care and support I needed from day one.
