On a resent visit to A&E with my son with a cut eyelid (rugby injury) we were very pleasantly surprised. Booking in was quick and the receptionist was chatty, friendly and had a sense of humour. The triage was prompt and the nurse spoke intelligible English which was a great improvement on past visits. We noted the stated 3 hours wait on the board so settled ourselves in comfortable chairs to watch the 6 Nationa on the large wall mounted television. After only 20 minutes we were called in to be seen and when the options had been discussed wound cleaned and stitches applied by a very pleasant practice nurse we left within 45 minutes of our arrival. Didn't get to watch the match though! A very well done Eastbourne A&E.
