"The Consultant Anesthetist"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

I was recently admitted to the hospital for a major operation in the Urology Department which required me to have an Epidural and a General Anaesthetics on the same day. I was fortunate to be attended by the same Consultant on both occasions and I can only admire and applaud his professionalism, clarity of advice and guidance, and ongoing support. He came to see me on many occasions during my stay and always provided a lift of spirits and confidence on my treatment and care. Great Man

Dear Mr Fitzmaurice From your comments it sounds like you have been quite poorly and in pain so I do hope you are now starting to feel better. Thank you for your comments from your visit to Urology and also about the consultant anaesthetists an I am so pleased that you had continuity of care seeing the same consultant on both occasions. It is good to hear that he was able to guide and advise you with professionalism as well as lift your spirits and give you confidence in the treatment As it is unclear from your comment which consultant attended up I will be sure to pass on your comments to the anaesthetists team as I know they will all welcome your comments. I thank you and wish you well for the future. Regards Sue Mellor Head of Patient Engagement
