"disgusting treatment and lack of sympethy at a&e"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Wife went in hospital at roughly 8pm took tablets and has mental health issues. She was left in a wheel chair on corridor next to toilet with her bag full of drugs with what she takes til gone 12 without being seen by nurse or doctor. Told nurse my concerns they said what do I want them to do like its our fault we are there. I asked them shouldnt they be doing a stomach pump or make her sick to get tablets out , they laughed at me and told me they haven't done stomach pumps for 20 years. Wife told them she wants to die and jump of a bridge and their response was we haven't got any beds in the entire north west you have to go home. They phoned and put her in a taxi and paid for it to get her out of there at 6.30am with her bag full of drugs all by herself even though she told them she wants to die and will kill herself. Thought nurses and doctors have a duty of car obviously not here. Had to bring her back next day because she tried it again, and again had same treatment and response. I stayed with her this time because I found someone to mind my babies. This time I wouldnt take no for an answer so they decided to try get us out of there by ringing the police. They came and seen state my wife is in told us if we tried to leave they would detain her and bring her back in because they have a duty of care. Why was hospital staff sending her away in that state when police said she cant leave. Finally the police spoke to them and they found us a bed in tameside 30 mins after police left after being told no beds in north west for a week. If you have mental health issues don't bother coming here if u do good luck you will need it.
