"Extremely slow"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary

So far its taken more than 28 weeks and I have no appointment for my carpal tunnel release. I contacts the hospital who just said they are aware and are offering some patients alternative locations. So much for the 18 week guarantee. And this was after was already delayed by about 6 months (prior to the 28+ weeks) due to doctor not being willing to proceed without psychiatric evaluation despite the next one saying he could work with anxious patients and was fine. The pre-operative out patients reception aren't open at your appointment time sometimes forcing you to wait in the corridor without any signs about what to do. Some parts of the day surgery waiting room are clean, others are filthy, near the curtains. The hospital seems to use clocks that tick often and for people like me with autism it presents a very annoying distraction. Similarly in the orthopedics outpatients waiting area you have several doors that slam shut really disturbing me. Same-sex accommodation is weirdly labelled near the day surgery waiting room - I didn't understand the signage. The receptionists in the day surgery reception didn't even look at me or give face contact.
