"good care by the publicly owned NHS"

About: St James's University Hospital

My mother age 92 had had a fall and needed xrays/CT scan and blood tests. A urine test at an early stage would have been helpful as that would have disclosed a urine infection and the need for subsequent antibiotics!.. By the time of departure a sample could not be obtained!. Everybody was helpful and caring over the 7 hours at the hospital. Most useful was the nursing service for the elderly and the Hospital to Home (H2H) service. However there is no contact no on any website that I could search for - for this latter service?

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

It was very uplifting and heartwarming to read your post.

I would like to inform you however that the Hospital to Home service is managed by age UK. You can contact Age UK on 0113 389 3000 there opening hours are Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 4.30pm & Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm

They, as much as I, deeply appreciate your words of support and gratitude.
