I write this letter to express my sincere gratitude to all the member of staff of Darent Valley Hospital right from the surgeons to the cleaners. Everyone was exceptional and diligent in carrying out their duties to such a high standard. This letter should have come before now but for the fact that i was abroad and i thought it was better late than never. I had stomach incision on the 29th of September 2014 which was carried out by my consultants. After the operation i was moved from the theatre to intensive care unit where i spent 4 days to recover given the fragility of the operation. i regain consciousness the following day to experience a first class treatment from the first class staff of ICU, I was later moved to Mulberry Ward for follow-up where i spent couple of days and to my amazement the treatment i got there was absolutely fantastic. May i quickly add, i had gone for this operation somewhere else twice but were both unsuccessful which was why i decided to put pen to paper to express my gratitude to God and appreciate these amazing surgeons for courage they undertook to operate on me which turnout to be a success. I would also like the management of the hospital to do all they could to encourage the consultants to mentor, coach and pass on their skill, knowledge and professionalism to the young doctors not only for the good of Darent Valley Hospital but for the betterment of NHS in general.
