"A wonderful, friendly atmosphere"

About: Specialist Nursing Services / Special needs dental service/Community Dental Service

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My Daughter was referred to Park House Dental due to her disability but mainly her fear of the Dentist chair. She wouldn't go anywhere near it, which meant her teeth weren't being checked properly. After about 4 visits to this practice she actually sat at the foot end of the chair and had already allowed the Dentist to count and check her teeth with the mirror. The Dentist & Nurse both played a fantastic part in coaxing, explaining and letting her touch buttons etc. We still have a long way to go, but I am positive with regular visits my Daughter will overcome her fears, which will help her later in life. A wonderful friendly atmosphere and would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for sharing your daughters journey so far.

Its fantastic for staff to know their care and support can benefit patients and help them overcome their fears and anxieties.

Your daughters experience highlights that taking the time to explain and demonstrate what everything does can bring such great rewards for patients. Your daughter has come such a long way since her initial visit which as you say will help her in later life.

Your kind comments will be shared with the team at Park House.
