Sadly my partners mum had to be admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago and as you well know, it is a very traumatic time for older people. They have this vision that it is the last bus ride they are going to take. To start with the Ambulance men were out of this world. They treated mum with total respect and made light of the whole situation. This started to put mum at rest and when she arrived at the hospital that respect carried through with the staff of the Female ward. The staff on the ward have treated mum with calm professionalism, total respect and further more even though they are very busy will always make time to ensure that every patient feels like they are the only one there. Mum was a chef in her working years and says that the food is out of this world, true praise indeed from a fellow professional. Mum is still there at the moment and is improving fast due to the encouragement given by all the staff and now believes that she will go home and be able to cope with the support that will come from this centre of excellence. Thank you staff of the Female ward
"A fantastic hospital with a cottage atmosphere"
