I arrived at this hospital at 08:00 last Sunday morning. I was seen after about 10 minutes by a nurse who quickly diagnosed a very unusual condition. Immediately the nurses telephoned for a doctor to see me. The doctor arrived in 10 minutes later and confirmed the initial diagnosis and gave me the correct medicine. At 08:00 I was dehydrated and in pain from 48 hours of fever, aches, unable to swallow due to swollen glandes. I was actually curled up in a ball, unable to recite my name clearly. By 15:00 the same day I was able to drink a little, walk, and talk a little. I was also massively anxious to the fact that my wife could give birth to our baby the same day. The staff were also very kind/reassuring to my son and wife. As someone who is usually very fit and well, I read about the health service much more than I use it. If only the media focused on the brilliance of people that make up our NHS. I take my hat off to the expertise of the staff in this hospital. Miracle workers. Thank you! David W P.S. Please, if possible, pass this message onto the staff that looked after that morning. They need to know just how valuable they are to our society!
"Amazingly kind/knowledgeable staff"
