"Excellent care and service"

About: Birmingham Women's Hospital

I visited as a day patient yesterday for an ERPC. As it was my first pregnancy, everything had understandably been quite traumatic and I didn't know what my experience of the operation would be like. Every single member of staff I met at the Women's Hospital (which seemed like a lot!) were fantastic - they were sensitive, clearly explained what would happen and why and answered my questions clearly. I felt safe, comfortable and confident - in the best of hands. The operation itself went quickly and smoothly and I was out of the hospital in the early afternoon. The atmosphere of the hospital was calm, quiet and organised. I was also happy to be in a room that had only one other patient in it, so it felt very private. The room was also spotless. I'm surprised at how well I feel at home now and have not suffered much pain at all. I feel very grateful to have the Women's Trust within my reach as there is no doubt I received the best of care - I couldn't have asked for more. I am sure, day in day out the vast majority receive the same standard of care, but it's only people who feel they did not who leave the reviews normally! Thank you to all the staff for making my visit go as well as it could have possibly gone.
