"Angels in blue"

About: Torbay Hospital

I would just like to express by massive appreciation to staff on Ricky Grant and Turner Ward and all those in the haematology department. We lost my beloved jim after 7 months fighting acute t cell lymphoblastic lymphoma at the age of 30. I have just been in today and received a fantastic welcome from the nurses and to see them endlessly still working to help those like my Jim feel a bit better brought me to tears. I didn't realise we could comment and felt it necessary to show my thanks for the care that was received following his diagnosis. Even though there are too many to mention I will always remember the doctor that helped us from word go, even when we were presented with the worst news, he continuously searched to find any treatment that may save him it was not however meant to be. Another member of staff who helped both Jim and Me through the horrendous nights and two others for their help and the domestics for my endless cups of tea The NHS is a fantastic organisation and I would be happy to have them to look after me should I need it.
