From first consultation, after referral by my GP and my choice of this hospital after careful enquiry, to discharge I enjoyed highly professional, friendly and caring attention from all members of staff I encountered. Having had my operation late in the day I was given overnight accommodation and care, which enabled me to have follow-up attention during the night and up to my unhurried departure in the morning, after breakfast adapted without fuss to my individual needs. The consultant surgeon very kindly visited and examined me before formally discharging me: a visit which I understood he was not obliged to make, but which I much appreciated as being of great benefit to me. The hospital environment I encountered was thoughtfully functional, very clean and comfortable, and the administrative arrangements were managed most efficiently and sympathetically by staff who were demonstrably caring towards their hospital's patients and their needs. Having always had very good experiences of NHS treatment in the past, I would not hesitate to recommend Fulwood Hall as an excellent alternative hospital.
