"Treatment for breast cancer"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2014. I can honestly say I was so impressed from the start of my treatment to the end. I was recalled after a mammogram, staff at the screening centre were kind, and informative. I was treated with respect and kindness by the consultant, the Breast Care Nurses, and the oncologist. The staff in the Day Surgery ward were reassuring, not forgetting the anaesthetic team. The thought of three and a half weeks of radiotherapy was daunting, I need not have worried, the radiotherapists were superb. I feel fortunate indeed. Thank you to all I came into contact with. Kind Regards, Marion Hawkins
