"Mental health teams have done a sterling job"

About: Leigh Infirmary Mh Oupatients Clinic / Women's Mental Health Unit

(as a relative),

My wife has been discharged…..this time I would like to thank all the Staff at the Leigh women mental health ward (Cavendish ward) without their support our family’s life would have been very difficult to deal with. Also Brookleigh have been helpful; I can understand its not a straight forward job, but once again thanks Brookleigh.

I know Mental health is the poor relation in the NHS, but with the resources they have at there disposal they have done a sterling job

However I do still believe that the wards can be too dependent on temporary staff at the weekends, which is not always good for the patient….. Again this is just my opinion….

Thank you for taking the time to make such a positive posting, it’s nice to hear when things have gone well. I will ensure that your thoughts are passed on to the staff on Cavendish and in Brookleigh.

I am particularly pleased to hear that you are happy with your wife’s care and treatment as your last posting was not so positive. It’s good to hear that things improved over the last few months.

May I wish you and your family good luck for the future and hope your wife’s condition continues to improve.
