"Lack of online access to choose and book"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Vascular surgery

I have been trying all weekend to book my fathers appointment with the choose and book system to no avail.

When I phoned the number given to say I was not able to book online they were unable to do it either, and the call handler thought the NNUH booking system was 'down' but she was not sure.

Tried again this morning and still not working.

Phoned helpline and again they were unable to book from their end. The person this time says they sometimes take the system off line for a few days but the booking line is not informed.

Talk about a lack of communication.

Hmmm Thank you for your response but it was not the national system which was off line just the book for the NNUH.

I have since booked my father in as the NNUH part came back online at 11am yesterday. I had tried to book through the hospital but was told I couldn't by a member of staff in the general medical department.

My main issue is that no-one from the NNUH had informed choose and book that the appointment system for your hospital was down. We could have had an appointment for the other hospitals but needed the NNUH.
