"wrong information"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

I rang the hospital on Thursday 19 Feb , asking for the visiting hours for the next day. I was told 2_3 afternoon and 7_8 evening. So we arrived 7 pm on Friday evening only to be told visiting 11_ 7 and we were too late. Bearing in mind that we had travelled from Newcastle you can imagine how we felt,(Not Happy) we were allowed a short visit because of the circumstances but. Surely staff on the switchboard should have the correct information to hand. We have heard another person visiting this same lady was also given the same times as us. Travelling from Newcastle for a 10 minute visit is just not acceptable. C.Cook
