"My poor care from gosport community health team hewatt centre"

About: Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

I had an acute episode of depression anxiety and a pyschotic episode I was treated well and visited by the crisis team covering fareham and gosport and then handed back to the hewatt centre. Sine then I have been discharged twice back to my GP despite being suicidal everyday. The last time 2 weeks ago being discharged again nearly cost my life. I am now left with no help at all despite daily suicidal thoughts and acute depression. It is because I have struggled to take my antidepressant due to a phobia, I was told I'm not ready to move forward. I told the lady I'm thinking about stabbing myself she offered me another chance to come down and go over the whole thing again with a new person. I declined so she said she would write down I refused help. Nice, I can't even leave me home due to crippling anxiety. What appauling treatment and I will be going to press and ombudsman anyone that will listen to expose this disgusting cruelty.

I really don't have the strength to fight the system in my current state. I did have my complaint looked into as an initial stage. I of course got a standard response of denial but to have the complaint thoroughly investigated can take many months. To be frank who is going to believe or care about a very depressed anxious person. This is something that needs awareness of the poor treatment of people like myself. To be discharged back to your GP and be told come back in 3 months when your suicidal is a bit like going to a and e with your arm hanging of and being told come back in 3 months we will fix it then! I'm luckily relying on a very good GP but as far as hewatt centre goes, forget it. They are not willing to help people with agoraphobia and deep depression. I was told I was not helping myself enough. Mmm ever been in a deep depression? Stupidly I thought help was out there. No. Apparently several people sat around a table and decided I was ok to be discharged back to my GP. The Wednesday prior to that meeting I told them I had been sat sobbing on my kitchen floor with a knife! Then I told them again I felt unsafe still I was discharged back to my GP. I have had a lot of interest in my case so am considering what to do now. Press will be good because I get to tell my story and raise awareness.
