Following my treatment for breast cancer I needed some follow up treatment. I was admitted for day surgery at the beginning of August. I was very nervous and unsure about the length of stay as when I asked I got varying times.
I had my operation in the morning and I was very groggy and felt queasy. I was discharged at 3.30pm the same day. I was given very little information and was quite concerned about going home. No one asked if I had anyone to care for me at home or if I felt well enough to go home.
