"After care could have been more informative"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I recently received an operation to treat a possible endometriosis which was found and then treated at the QMC. The good bits about my treatment were the calm waiting area to sit in before surgery, the friendly staff and my gynaecologist was present too.

The not good bits for me was I didn’t know I was going walk into theatre where I was having my op. This was daunting and scary. There were also 7 students present. This felt very uncomfortable and in truth I did not want them to be there.

After care was not as informed as it could have been; in fact it was very rushed. I had no idea I would feel so sore and uncomfortable for the amount of time I did. I wish somebody would have spent more time talking about the recovery.
