We are sorry that you were not happy with the standards of cleanliness on your ward. Domestic staff work to a cleaning specification that sets out the frequencies for cleaning tasks. We have a system of quality control checks carried out by the Domestic Services Manager. Domestic staff are encouraged to speak to patients to make sure that they are happy with the standards of cleanliness in their ward. We have recently introduced an information card for patients confirming that bed areas are cleaned appropriately before the next patient is admitted. This is signed by the admitting nurse.
