"They can never keep an appointment!"

After seeing a lovely doctor in June 2014 I was told to book an appointment for 6 months time, it was all booked for December 2014, a couple of weeks before I received a letter telling me the appointment had been moved to February. I booked time off work and showed up as the letter suggested only to find out that my appointment had been cancelled! I was told that a letter was sent out in January 2015 ( I did not receive this letter or a call refgarding the change, these appointments are very important to me and I take them very seriously) and that it was re booked for the end of June!! A whole year after my first appointment ...they didn't have any closer appointments? Well as you can imagin this is very frustrating, even more so as we are trying for our first baby and these appointments are supposed to be helping us, after 3 years of already trying being told that our appointments are delayed for months at a time is very upsetting.
