"A recent minor operation on small finger right hand"

About: Whiston Hospital / General surgery Whiston Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

It ( the defect) is classified as a disease. It affects the straps which bond the tendon to the bone. It has to be rectified by a quite large incision along the length of the affected finger, this then allows access for the surgeon to remove the tissue causing the finger to bend in to the palm of the hand. This operation was carried out at approximately 9 30 am, at Whiston Hospial Merseyside. I was discharged at 3 am on the same day, job done. Everything was methodically carried out, ie admission, checks by the anesthetist, who was absolutely brilliant, The whole team could not, repeat COULD NOT be faulted. On recovery in the ward B3 I was in a bed which I was somewhat reluctant to vacate. I came round to a super cup of tea and an absolutely delicious tuna sandwich. The ward staff and the staff who brought the refreshments equally as good. The score for services rendered? 12 out of 10.
